For the last eight years I was a Research Director leading the Food Futures Lab at the Institute for the Future. While there, I worked with many of the world’s largest food, health, CPG, and technology companies to help them imagine, design, and implement more resilient futures.
I’m a mixed-methods qualitative researcher who translates complex findings into clear insights that help drive action and inform strategy. I’m a frequent public speaker who loves telling inspiring stories about the future. I’m a dynamic workshop facilitator who gets even the most skeptical corporate executives curiously challenging their assumptions about what’s possible. I’m a foresight practitioner who brings forecasting and scenario methodologies to notoriously short-sighted industries. I’m a visual and experience designer who makes provocative artifacts from the future. I’m an energetic team leader with almost a decade of experience cultivating networks and partnerships within the global food innovation ecosystem. I’ve worked in restaurants, studied permaculture design, and I’m always looking for new ways to cook vegetables.
I do all of these things in order to make the future of food more equitable, resilient, diverse, and humane. Want to do this together? Please get in touch.
In my spare time you can currently find me learning to speak Mandarin Chinese, making intricate cut-paper masks, canning 500 pounds of nectarines, or climbing up very large rocks.
